well, hello there!

Okay, I finally fixed what I broke here in the first place and am back in the land of blogging. What an AWESOME summer this is! We had a fantastic holiday out to Lake Superior district...really really relaxed and kicked back. The lake we stayed at, Turtle lake, was very quiet and pretty, with lots of fishing to keep the kids happy! Colton is old enough now to take either Mickey or Joshua out on the canoe, so Pat and I could sit on the dock and drink our coffee's (yes, I am learning how to drink coffee finally! Lots of sugar, Lots of flavoured cream, and DECAF! - finally I am growing up and drinking coffee, only to realize that I'm getting too old and can't handle the caffeine anymore!) Most mornings were spent relaxing till noonish and then finding a beach or a hiking trail to explore. That was our first week. The next 3 nights we spent in a cabin by the south shores of Lake Superior. A really cute, quaint cabin with wonderful landlords. We explored Bayfield and took a day trip across to Madeline Island on the ferry. We spent most of the day on the beach, which was quite empty, compared to beaches out here they'd be almost deserted! Went back to Duluth for a night and then headed on home the next day. Tired but happy! We got a new horse! Now Tuffy has a buddy! I'll post those later too. I gotta run and go pick up stuff for supper. Pat's parents are coming over, which is quite rare actually! We usually go there for supper - so this will be a nice change for them ...I hope, we'll see how supper turns out :)
