Faith

This past winter I was watching figure skating and wondered how they didn't fall when they were doing their spins. So of course I googled it :) I found out that the skater has a focal point, often their shoulder, that they focus on while they're spinning. As long as they keep their focus on this point, they don't get dizzy and don't fall down.

As soon as I read that, Jesus blasted a thought into my head - I know it was Jesus, because it was out of the blue, and I recognized Him. (the older I get, the easier it is to recognize His voice) Very clearly the thought "This is EXACTLY what faith is like. As long as you keep your focus on Me - Jesus, your Father, your God, your Friend, your Everything - you will not fall. I will keep you safe. I will keep you steady. When the world is spinning around in crazy circles, and you don't know how you can keep it together, focus on Me. I am. Always. Focus. On. Me." A sense of peace and joy surrounded me and I felt a quickening of my faith. What a fantastic moment! I fell deeper in love with Him then.

I'll never see figure skating the same :)
