of snowmen and men...

Ahhhh, winter! The weather was so fine that I shooed the kids out the door with "this weather won't last long! Here's your chance to play outside without your lungs freezing as soon as you draw breath!" The kids decided to make a snowman. Fantastic idea! The snow was perfect for it...colton rolled the first ball, and what a ball! huge. Well, I thought, this should be interesting. The second ball he rolled was almost as big as the first. How in the heck he expected to get that thing on top of the other one was beyond me. No sooner had that thought crossed my mind, then Colton hollered, "Dad! Can you help me lift this?!" This oughtta be good. Out I go with camera in hand. They managed, but barely! it took them at least three attempts before they arrived at a clear understanding of how they would manage it. Finally it was time for the head. A little help from the stepladder and, voila! Turned out to be a lovely snowman - a little threatening looking, but that's alright :) Oh, I wish winter was like this all the time!
